10. Conversion measurement with the Facebook visitor action pixel

Facebook Remarketing: So-called “Facebook pixels” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are based in the EU, Facebook Ireland, are used within our online offer Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors of our offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements, so-called “Facebook ads”. Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to only display the Facebook ads placed by us to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our website. This means that with the help of the Facebook pixel, we want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also understand the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

The Facebook pixel is integrated directly by Facebook when you visit our website and can save a so-called cookie, ie a small file, on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, the visit to our offer will be noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us, so it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. The processing of the data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook’s data usage guidelines. Accordingly, you will find further information on how the remarketing pixel works and, in general, on the display of Facebook ads, in Facebook’s data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php . You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and the use of your data to display Facebook ads. To do this, you can call up the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there on the settings for usage-based advertising:

https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads or the objection via the US-American page http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ to explain. The settings are platform-independent, ie they are adopted for all devices such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

11. Conversion measurement with Google Adwords conversion tracking

We use “Google AdWords”, the online advertising program of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). As part of Google AdWords, we also use so-called conversion tracking, the associated analysis service. If you click on a Google AdWords ad, a conversion tracking cookie will be saved on your computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, contain no personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain Internet pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that you clicked on the ad and were forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that there is no way that cookies can be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers.

The information that is obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers like us. This gives us information such as the total number of users who clicked on our ads and were forwarded to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (see above under “Cookies”). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can find more information about Google AdWords at http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/. You can find Google’s data protection declaration at http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/. Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

12. Conversion measurement with Google Double-Click

DoubleClick is a service from Google Inc. DoubleClick uses cookies to display advertisements based on your interests. For this purpose, it assigns a pseudonymous identification number (ID) to your browser, which is used to check which advertisements were displayed on your browser and which advertisements were accessed. The cookies do not contain any information that could be traced back to you. The use of DoubleClick cookies enables Google and its partner websites to display advertisements based on previous visits to our or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google to a server in the USA for further information and stored there. Google does not transfer any data to third parties unless this is required by law or third parties process the data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google. By using our website you declare that you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google and the previously described method of data processing and the stated purpose. You can prevent the storage of cookies using the settings in your browser software described above under “Cookies”. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies and relating to your use of the website and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link under the Double Click deactivation extension or deactivate the option “personalized advertising”.
